Reception for Nancy Curtis

Braxton Winston Visits
Helping our neighbors in Graham County to organize their Democrats. The postcards are an invitation to their May 4th Meeting at Papa's Restaurant at 2PM in Robbinsville. During our April 16th Coffee Talk Tuesday, these awesome folks wrote 500 postcards to voters in Graham County in just over 2 hours! Cathy Yost did get a head start and did 100 before she got there, but who's complaining! Our writers are: Bonnie Moore, Cathy Yost, Betty and Joe Harvey, Laurie Colombo, Judy Snow, Fred Bevis, Linda Ray and Jan Davis! I helped a bit, too. Diane Snyder

State of the Union
Watch Party

Cherokee County Democrats gather for a State of the Union Watch Party.
The Cherokee County Democratic Party's State of the Union Watch Party was well attended.

Local Democrats that gathered to hear President Biden acknowledged his energy and clarity. One attendee mentioned that Biden's ability to quickly retort to the hecklers showed he was on top of his game.

Esther Manchester noted, "It was great to be among such a large group of people in support of our president, Joe Biden, and to learn how he plans to move our country forward when he is re-elected in November."
From Judy Snow: "A lot more fun watching with like-minded friends, thanks to everyone, the headquarters is great."

"President Biden showed the world just how strong our union is, and what the dangers are to that strength, from another watcher.

Dixie Carter added, "Joe got me fired up and ready to work to get him four more years."

This indicates that the primary is over and the general election is the focus from here on. It seemed everyone enjoyed the evening.

Cherokee County Democrats' Chair Diane Snyder said it was the most fun way she's ever watched the State of the Union.
